Updates that never happen
Plugins and themes fall months behind, which leaves the site slow, buggy and open to hacks.
Small changes take weeks
A new phone number, photo or service shouldn't sit in someone's inbox for a month.
No backup when it breaks
If the site goes down or gets hacked, you're not sure anyone could restore it.
Every one of those is fixable, and none of them needs a bigger ad budget.
What maintenance covers, and why it matters for leads
A website is software, and software needs looking after. WordPress, its plugins and its theme release updates constantly, many of them security fixes. Skip them for a year and the site starts to break, slow down or get hacked, which usually happens at the worst time, like the middle of furnace season or right after a big storm when roofers' phones should be ringing. Maintenance is the boring work that keeps that from happening, and most business owners only notice it when it's missing.
Each month we update WordPress, plugins and themes after checking they won't break anything. Backups run daily and are stored off the server, and uptime and security are monitored. We also test that your forms and phone links still work. Forms quietly failing is more common than you'd think, and it can cost weeks of leads before anyone notices. Speed gets watched too, since slow pages lose mobile visitors, and we keep an eye on Google Search Console for errors.
Small edits are included too. Update your hours for the holidays, add a new service, swap in photos of recent jobs, change a promotion or add a new review. Send us a quick message and it gets done, usually within a couple of business days. Bigger projects like new sections or page types are quoted separately so there are no surprises. You don't need to learn WordPress or remember a password to keep the site current. A text with a photo from today's job is usually enough for us to add it to the right service page, which also gives Google and customers fresh proof that you're active.
Maintenance is month-to-month with no long-term contract. You keep full admin access, and everything stays in your name. If you'd rather handle updates yourself, we'll show you how and what to watch for. Some owners are comfortable doing that. Most would rather spend their evenings on quotes and invoices than on plugin changelogs, and that's what this is for. Either way, the goal is the same: a site that's up, fast and taking leads every day of the year, including the weeks when you're too busy to look at it.

Website Maintenance questions
What's included in website maintenance?
Software updates, daily backups, security and uptime monitoring, form and phone link checks, speed and Search Console checks, plus small content edits like hours, photos or services. You get a short summary each month listing what was done and anything we noticed that needs attention.
Can you maintain a site you didn't build?
Usually, yes. We'll start with a review of your current setup, hosting and plugins to make sure it's safe to maintain and that backups work. If something needs fixing first, like an outdated theme or abandoned plugins, we'll explain the issue and quote it before taking over.
How fast do you handle edit requests?
Small edits like text, photos, hours or a new review are usually done within a couple of business days. If something's broken or the site is down, it jumps to the front of the line. Larger changes are quoted separately and scheduled with you.
Is there a contract for maintenance?
No. It runs month to month. If you cancel, we send a short handover note listing what's installed and what needs regular updates, so whoever takes over isn't starting blind.
